Bright Lit Place

Interactive maps and a complete web presence for the Bright Lit Place podcast

Check out the project

I worked with WLRN Public Media to produce a website to accompany their Bright Lit Place podcast. This podcast covers the incredibly intricate story of Florida's attempt to save the Everglades, one of the most unique, and threatened, ecosystems in the United States.

My student, Kai Wilson, helped produce episode pages using HTML and CSS. The two interactive maps ("The Changing Everglades" scrolly map and "Blueprint for Restoration") were made using Open Layers. I used the Scrollama library to produce the scrollytelling effect on the first map.
